My father is a specialist in conservation architecture, so he couldn't let this 1860's house be lost. We have restored this house as a family and it was a very special time for us. Based on the coast in the South Island of New Zealand, Akaroa is breathtakingly beautiful and never disappoints.  Mum and I grow our favourite flowers down here, peonies. 

Tell us about your Somewhere… My family are blessed to have a holiday home in Akaroa. When my parents bought the house it was derelict, the local fire brigade were going to do a practice job on it!
